This anthropoidal set of luggage is intended to create awareness of the ever-growing issue of human trafficking, an activity that is contrary to the most fundamental of human rights. Human trafficking is the exploitation of the poor into slavery; it encompasses bribery, corruption, prostitution, exploitation, fraud and abuse. It is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the ‘globalised’ world. Corruption thrives in this multi-billion-dollar industry. People become marketable products, epitomising the indifference surrounding human trafficking and the inhumane treatment of its victims.
