Dave Harrison Chua The ebb and flow of the subconscious mind

My body of work represents the relationship between teenagers’ feelings and our recent experiences: the impact of COVID-19 (lockdown, restrictions), floods, and the overall pressure we all go through in our HSC years. I explored the turmoil teens experience through devices such as the time management dummy guide and, most importantly, through water. The title refers to both the physical flow of water and how the mind runs during stressful experiences, drowning from the pressure, from the hectic, stressful world around us. Then, in the same way as the tide falls, you reflect on the past and pick yourself up.
