From birth, we instinctively follow the set formulas of life - love, loss, confusion, awareness - ultimately leading to the final stage: death. My interest in human nature has led to my fascination with the individual journey.
Inspired by their delicate nature, I used intaglio etchings to represent these life stages. I also used other techniques such as sugar lift, chine collé and aquatint, with which I was able to create a softness and texture to evoke poignant moods.
