An insect is considered advanced if it is indistinguishable from its surroundings. Inspired by the natural world and its cyclic nature, I explored the indistinguishable. If we remove the insect from its familiar surroundings it remains advanced, as well as beautiful. My body of work focuses on the importance of the smaller, indistinguishable elements that are overlooked in our society. Using lead pencil, collage and stitching, I created an artwork in which the indistinguishable is the most significant.
