As an unorganised student I spent many late nights and early mornings completing school assignments while the rest of the world was asleep. I was inspired by the sense of seclusion experienced during these murky nights. I wanted to convey the bizarre realities of a mind deprived of light, sleep and human company. I felt that the layered and often unpredictable nature of the printmaking process could ably express the ideas that I had in mind.
