My work explores youth issues, street culture and graffiti art. I am interested in images of 'every day' - in magazines, posters, T-shirts and television - the mass product image. I am also fascinated by the way these images act as symbols of identification for like-minded people. I love the simplicity of design and clarity of line that is often conveyed by graphic arts.
In Photoshop, I adjusted photographs of friends and family who had influenced my teenage development, then superimposed my hand-drawn images and mounted the results on foamboard. This work was my immediate response to the youth culture around me.
