While being dragged around the Hunter Valley by my parents I became fascinated by the evocative language winemakers use to describe wines. I was further amused when I joined an online wine forum under the username 'wine swine'.
My artwork uses irony and humour to reveal different aspects of wine culture. The installation is very much inspired by Robert McPherson's use of installation to comment on aspects of language and culture. My exploration of wine jargon shows that you don't have to be an expert to sound like a critic.
