In Activation Synthesis Hypothesis, I represent the intangible dream world through the dream-states of three characters. My premise, that dreams are simply the result of random electrical impulses that pull imagery from traces of experience stored in our memory, is investigated in three sub-themes - 'The Good', 'The Bad' and 'The Ugly'. We cannot simply watch the film in its unrelated and coincidental form, just as we are unable to accept the random display of impulses during sleep. We create meaning around the actions that are perceived, whether during sleep or movie viewing.
