What makes a good portrait? Does it have to look like someone? How do you depict someone’s personality? Let’s face it – portraits are fascinating.

Bring the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Archibald Prize to your classroom with this virtual incursion.

Designed for K–6 learning, this live, interactive workshop aligns with curriculum outcomes and encourages students to explore portraits in new and inspiring ways. Hosted by a Gallery educator, the workshop includes a presentation, Q&A session andan art-making activity developed in collaboration with a finalist from the Archibald Prize.
